Gotta love Mayo (Clinic)!

Updated: Feb 15, 2021

(Authored by Lisa)

I had an exciting month! On July 2, my Mayo Clinic specialist phoned me to discuss a diagnosis - one of several forms of IBD. He prescribed medicine and I saw improvement within 24 hours! I continue to see positive results with the medication and have a plan for continued follow-up with the doctor. Mayo Clinic was the right choice for me, and I highly recommend it for anyone who has been searching for answers for many years!

I also got to see family when I spent the week with Daddy in central FL. Daddy & I took a driving tour of Palm Beach, where he thinks he found our next marina home. Not sure we could afford it - or meet the minimum length requirements. :)

Despite the medical appointments and my week away, Ray & I took a quick trip to NC. We enjoyed dinner with Ray's family, and got to relax in the cool weather on the clubhouse deck, waiting for Carson to finish his round of golf, before having dinner.

There was still time to explore Jacksonville. Ray & I attended Bluegrass, Beer & Barbecue uptown (until I was scared off by the evening thunderstorms).

We enjoyed a visit with fellow N37 owners of "The Office 2", who introduced us to a cute little diner nearby; we plan to walk there next time. (Once again, I forgot to get a photo!)

Ortega Landing Pirate Crawl July 2019

We've met many of our dock neighbors, spent hot afternoons in the pool (after gym workouts), and decorated for a pirate dock crawl, where we met more boaters in the marina.

We explored several new restaurants in the area, including a pub uptown where our marina neighbor musicians were playing.

Ray continues boat projects and preventive maintenance. And I am enjoying my galley - making GF donut holes, GF French macarons, and lots of other good treats and dinners.
