Is that an outboard cover, or are you just happy to see me?

Projects, projects projects....

We severely underestimated the time it would take to do individual projects while living on a boat. Compared to being at a house with a garage and plenty of tools and space, tasks easily take FIVE times as long. Dig out all of the tools from their storage area, work on a small sub-task while on a pitching dock finger pier, clean up and pack up everything --- only to get it all out again for the next item.

We are working hard to get through the "must do" list before starting to head south. Lots of things are getting checked off the spreadsheet, but it is painfully slow. We only have about 3-4 big items remaining.

So far, in between two hurricanes and other small things needing immediate attention, some of the things completed so far include fixing sagging floor hatches, installing a new dinghy and motor, installing a cockpit grill, fixing a smelly shower sump, replacing the toilet, designing and building a sunshade for the bow, adding riser steps to get into the bed, new window covers, and updating the TV and its cabinet.

Recently, Lisa's sewing project creating a complicated cover for the outboard motor had us laughing about the resulting visual. The motor's steering arm had its own part of the cover for protection.

Even when installed, it looks a bit......... well, unusual. :)

Onward....

Okay, I had a “very hard” chuckle about that post. Sue almost ignored the email because she thought it was spam.
