All Good (again)

Updated: Feb 15, 2021

We survived Michael without incident. Again, we are thankful. Winds were from the opposite direction as Florence, so we were less protected --- but the winds were much lower at about 40-50kn. Wave action at the dock was much more, but SCOUT did fine.

We did have some excitement during the early part of the hurricane when the Barefoot Princess dinner cruise boat broke loose (again) from the Bridgeport side of the river and was blown down past our "A" dock along the railroad trestle. She snapped off her pilings from the other side of the river -- just a week after being recovered from the railroad's southern bank after hurricane Florence.

Thankfully, she ended up grounding in a small cove and did only minor damage to one boat on the way past. We were out trying to get it tied off to prevent it from being blown back out when the wind shifted.

Later the next day provided a much better view looking to the direction of the winds....

........now, back to projects!
